As I prepare for the graduation of my youngest to graduate from high school in just a few short weeks I find myself pulling out the photo albums. Looking over the pages, laughing and crying all with a smile. It's hard to believe how fast the time has passed, even if at times it has seemed to be forever! The time goes by.....
We all want the same things for our children no matter what our race or nationality. Peace, good health, a roof over their head and food on their tables and of course.... some one to love them as much as we do.
I've always views parenting as a privilege. These children were entrusted into my care and safekeeping by my creator. I've taken it seriously and also remaining aware that some day they will leave to make their own way in the world. I've tried to teach them everything that is possible in just 18 short years to enable them to leave home prepared for whatever they encounter.
How have I done? Well only time will tell and that part of the journey isn't it? As sad as I am that they are moving on with their lives I am happy too. It's a mysterious and wonderful thing to be a parent. Oh, by the way these are my daughters, Hannah & Abigail.
