Since this is my blog I get to share my thoughts on a few things. I'm puzzled? How is it that some parents don't want to let their children listen to the President speak to the nation's children? Curious? Are these the same parents who:

Let their children watch "Saw I & IV"? But don't want their children to hear "stay in school"?

Let their children watch "Survivor"? But don't want their children to hear "take care of the environment"?

Let their children watch "The Family Guy"? But don't want their children to hear "love your neighbor as you love yourself by helping someone in need"?

So let me get this straight:

It's okay to have your kids see other human beings being tortured and then sawed up into tiny bits and pieces as entertainment.

It's okay to have your kids see people lie, cheat, and steal to get ahead to win money.

It's okay to have your kids watch an adult male swear, cheat, and commit adultery.

Oh, I get it -- their children might actually see something worth emulating for a change and then ask mom and dad why "they" aren't doing anything to:

Stop hunger; child abuse; provide adequate medical care for all the people of our nation; protect the environment and slow global warming. Now I understand!
