I am grateful for the time I spent in this batch as I had the opportunity to meet myself again. To discover the parts of me that somehow get shoved deep within in the midst of living and working. The parts that need to breathe more than once every decade (if even that). Why then do we continue to allow ourselves to oppress ourselves in this way? Of course we make excuses - work, family, obligations, money, whatever! But really? I think it's because we are afraid to be alone. Our culture doesn't promote solitude, it's not exciting enough. Let me dispel that thought! Solitude is not for the weak and it's definitely exciting! It's the ultimate "do you have what it takes" challenge. Looking for a real life adventure? A reality check? Then let me suggest time apart from everything, alone for one week - it will change your life!
About Me
- G. Thiessen
- Just an ordinary person trying to discern some meaning and purpose out of life like everyone else on this planet. Life is an adventure that must be lived to the fullest, never taken for granted and experienced with all ones senses.
